Welcome to the

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
LABORATORY

Our lab examines how children and adults process numbers as well as the cognitive factors related to solving mathematical problems
(e.g., working memory, executive functions, reasoning skills).

Our Vision

Though many studies explore the breadth and depth of language disorders, their impact on academic performance and such, we find that the same gap that existed decades before for reading and writing, may also exist for students with mathematical difficulties today.

We hope to be the first to uncover what lies beyond "being bad at maths", so that more research may follow and shed light on a social issue that affects millions of students today.

Research Projects

We are also interested in investigating the cognitive profiles of children with learning disabilities as well as the educational interventions that may be beneficial to this group of children.
